International Learning!

Ciao Chiara,

That was such a delightful experience! Our class was so impressed with the English spoken by your students! They liked that you showed them where you live on that large map of Italy (We should have thought to do that, too.)   Now that we know we can make a connection with you and your class, we look forward to another Skype call. Do you think it’s possible to call each other once a month until school ends in June? Our class is currently working on an arts project. Perhaps some of our students could share their creations with your class during our next chat.   That was a terrific way to start our day! We have much respect for you and your fifth graders for their ability to speak our language. English is so confusing; we’re all grateful that we learned it as toddlers! Maybe your class can send us some Italian words and phrases to learn so we can practice before our next Skype call.   Sending you hugs, Mary Beth
